Registration
Since 2005, we have been organizing the Latin American School of Human and
Medical Genetics (ELAG). ELAG offers a comprehensive review and update on the
applications of genetics to health sciences, targeting early-career health professionals,
graduate students, and postdocs in health sciences.

The 2025 course will take place from April 6 to April 12, 2025, at the Samuara Hotel in
Caxias do Sul (122 km from Porto Alegre airport - POA).

This event is partially sponsored, reducing the overall cost for students to $350 USD, in
addition to their travel expenses to Porto Alegre. All other expenses, including airport-
hotel transfers, meals, and registration fees, will be covered by the sponsorship.

Important Information Before You Apply:

​

1. ELAG is an advanced course in human and medical genetics, conducted primarily in English. No translation services will be available.

2. This is an intensive, full-week course from Sunday to Saturday. Attendance is mandatory, with no exceptions.

3. Participants will stay in a secluded hotel, sharing double or triple rooms with fellow students, based on availability. Room arrangements cannot be altered.

4. Selected students will receive notifications by January 31st, 2025, along with detailed instructions.
